Five More Peach State League Players Signed
![]() Macon, GA – The Peach State League continued to attract the attention of professional leagues and teams across the country as five additional players were signed by professional teams within the last three days. Former Pinetoppers Chad Rebecca (Normal Cornbelters, Frontier League), Jonathan Ross (Normal Cornbelters, Frontier League), Nick Tyson (Lincoln Saltdogs, American Association) and Shane Cox (Laredo Broncos, United League) signed contracts with their respective teams. Also, former Milledgeville Capital Mickey Cassidy (Rio Grande Valley Whitewings, United League) is leaving Macon to continue his professional career. These players joined Jeremy Gillan, Adan Severino, Jonathan Runnels and Brian Kolb as former Peach State Leaguers that have signed contracts with professional teams.
“These are guys who didn’t have anywhere else to play two months ago,” Pinetoppers General Manager and Peach State League co-owner Bill Larsen said. “Already we are having them get picked up.” The Peach State League season continues through August 14.
