About the Team and League »
Testimonials Below are some of the comments submitted by Pinetoppers fans: (unedited) Not sure if anyone took the time- but on behalf of Mercer University thank you for the great night at the Pinetoppers game. I do not know the final count of Mercer folks ended up being- but the stands looked full of people that night regardless. I can say for sure that my family had a great time and will be back. The fireworks were awesome. This is a good thing for Macon. Lets work together next year to get our students and faculty/staff involved.
Mercer University I wanted to take the opportunity to say “THANK YOU” on behalf of the staff at Trane. We truly appreciate you guys contacting us and suggesting that we be a part of your Fan Appreciation Night. Feedback from the employees that attended ranged from the following statements: they “had fun”…”it gave the whole family something to do on a Saturday night”….” I didn’t know that the teams had THAT caliber of players on them”. Again, I wanted to thanks for thinking about us and welcome any future promotional opportunities you all may have to pass this way for the employees and their families to take part in. Trane Commercial Systems .
Just a quick hello to tell you what a great experience my family has had at your games. The service and courtesy by your staff was beyond expectation. It was great to see the crowd grow as time passed. We will be back. Cannot wait til next season. I am emailing you to thank you for inviting Mercer employees and and our families to enjoy the Pinetoppers game this Saturday. My son and I really enjoy attending the games. We attended the night Ingleside Baptist Church was offered a discounted rate. The kids had such an amazing time! So, thank you again for all of your efforts in offering people in the community, especially the kids, exciting summer nights spent together at the ballpark (and not parked in front of the TV). . Letter to the Editor, Macon Telegraph, 7-13-2010 Darn, what a treat I went to Luther Williams Baseball Stadium recently for a Pinetoppers game and was accosted immediately upon my arrival. I was accosted by a friendly and courteous young man at the ticket window, accosted again by a nice lady at the turnstile, and yet again by another smiling face letting me know of the bargains to be had on this particular night. When I went inside the wonderful stadium the accosting continued by a courteous attendant who showed me exactly where my seats were. And if that weren’t enough, it happened again when I went for a bratwurst and beverage. I don’t know where these people get off on the constant smiles, the remarks of “enjoy the game,” and all the customer friendly service. It was simply horrendous. I was utterly shocked by seeing a little girl celebrating her birthday by throwing out the first pitch — and chagrined beyond words when they allowed anyone who wanted to run the bases after the game. Oh the humanity!
forced to tell everyone I know that they should all go down there and converge on the place, buy a ticket, a hot dog, drink and after getting change back from there $20, take their seat and protest accordingly. Do all this, of course, while sitting in a historic old ball park, in the greatest hometown of all, watching that wonderful game called Baseball. — George L. Fisher Macon . My wife and I attended tonight's game [our first] - and absolutely had a great time [even though the Pinetoppers lost]. Thanks for bringing a good product to Macon - we WILL be back. The horse race was delightfully cheesy as well. I was laughing out loud. . I can't thank you and your staff enough for a wonderful night, specifically celebrating Brice's birthday, but also just some great family fun! We had a fantastic night. Your staff is AWESOME!!! From the folks that greet you at the gate to the sweet girls that whisk your kids away for a special moment on the field. And, not to mention the ball players - their willingness to interact with all the kids after the game as well as play good baseball. I hope and pray that support increases and the crowds grow so that we can keep baseball in Macon! You are ALL doing a GREAT job! Kudos!!!! We might be seeing you again this Sunday but, until then, hope you have a great Independence Day! ps...I'll be emailing you some of the pictures I took last night. . Thank you so much for allowing Central State Hospital's Boland Building to come to the game today! We throughly enjoyed ourselves. The clients had a wonderful time as well. We look forward to our next trip to see the Pinetoppers play again. Thank you for all that you did to make today possible for our clients! Central State Hospital . Wanted to thank you for the players and mascot this morning. Great programs and the kids really enjoyed them. We will, at the end of the summer place a book in each library with a plaque honoring their visit. I will send you the titles and a thank you certificate for their visit sometime in August-September. Thanks so much. Peach Public Libraries . I just wanted to let you know what a great time we all had at CGTC’s baseball night on June 19th. I can’t say enough about the Pinetoppers staff! Everyone (especially Lisa) was very accommodating and made sure that everything ran smoothly. Thanks much for a wonderful event!! Central Georgia Technical College . First off, let me congratulate you on a wonderful opening night…I was very impressed with all the special entertainment etc. you had going on and looked like you had a terrific crowd. We’ve been promoting our day like crazy, so hopefully we will have a good one also. United Way of Central Georgia . Thanks again for your hospitality leading up to and at the game. We had a fun evening. I think those in attendance will go out and help swell your ranks for future games. It’s hard to believe so few of you orchestrated this whole league. You’ve got to be some of the hardest working folks I’ve ever seen. . I just wanted to thank you again for the tickets for Saturday's game. We had a wonderful time. WR even made a game of it in the 9th inning, too. Anyway, it was good fun and good baseball. I wish you continued success. Maybe we could get Andrew's little league all star team over for a game......... . I really enjoyed the game and everything in between innings. You have a great product and I hope that you continue to get good support from our community. I know that I will be back for lots of games. Thanks again for everything!
